Propyl bromide, also known as 1-bromopropane or n-propyl bromide, is a chemical which is used primarily as a degreasing solvent in metal cleaning operations, and as a solvent in adhesives. Propyl bromide has been used extensively in the furniture industry as a spray adhesive and in the industrial cleaning industry as a degreasing solvent and metal cleaner.

It can enter the body if swallowed or if it comes into contact with the skin, and also if the vapor is breathed in. If the hands are contaminated, it can be swallowed following hand to mouth contact.
